In Ireland, a land in love with words, stories are treasured and the storyteller, or
Shanachie {Sha-na-kee} - a combination of poet, sage, and wit - is revered.
The story of
The Shanachie
Irish Pub and Restaurant has its beginnings in Coalisland, County Tyrone. There, Gerry Timlin developed an early interest in traditional Irish music. By 16, he had won the first of many international song contests. Before long Gerry was weaving the songs and stories of his native land into captivating stage performances on this side of the Atlantic.
